General Information

This league is being set up to give Frisbee players a chance at competitive play. There will be 3 weeks of regular games followed by a 4-5 week long tournament. Players knocked out of the tournament will still be able to play. Just email us.

This league is for players of all skill levels and teams will be set up fairly based on self-assessment of Frisbee talent.

  1. Sign Up ends March 9th
  2. Games will start March 12th; SO SIGN UP NOW AND GET YOUR TEAM READY!
  3. Take a look at the schedule tab for your games
  4. There are no gender restrictions in this league
  5. Please limit the amount of club players on the field to 2 players at a time

Teams and Joining

You don’t need to have enough players for an entire frisbee team to join this league. After a week of signups all players who are not part of a complete team will be assigned to teams based on skill level. A group of players can sign up as an entire team but this is not necessary. It's very simple to get all your friends on the same team when signing up, just make sure they all enter the same group name (read the signup page).

The team size doesn’t matter just make sure it's large enough so that seven players always show up for a game.

If you have enough players for a team, one person needs to be a captain.

If you joined solo or with a small group you will be placed in a team and a captain will be provided for you.

Games, Scheduling, and Location

There will be one to two games per week, and the games will be scheduled by a computer. The game times can be changed as long as both captains participating in the game agree to change the time. The captains should contact each other via email to discuss changing game times.

The captains will also choose the location for the games (drillfield strongly suggested) and agree on other important aspects such as field dimensions, type of frisbee to use, number of players, weather rescheduling, team distinction (Lights vrs. Darks, etc.), and field markers (cones, light posts, shoes, etc.)

Usually games have two timeouts, one per half and a floater. Half occurs when the first team “surpasses” the halfway point of a game (game to 13 half is at 7, game to 15 half is at 8). However games can be setup around a time limit as well.

League Rules

ALL RULES SUBJECT TO CAPTAIN AGREEMENT CAPTAINS CAN CHANGE ANY RULES AS LONG AS THEY AGREE.

1. the marker (defensive player) can not touch the thrower at any point while marking.

2. the thrower, if they come in contact with a stationary part of the marker that is an offensive foul.

3. Stall occurs after 10 seconds, the marker verbalizes the count by saying “stalling one, stalling two…stalling ten”

4. The thrower has 10 seconds to move the disc, if the mark (person counting the stall) counts too fast, a “fast count” is called, and the person counting drops the count by 2 (so say the last number the marker said was “stalling eight” and a fast count is called, the marker goes back and says “stalling six”, if again the marker is counting too fast a “violation” (I believe?) is called, and the count gets reset to zero)

5. A stall occurs upon the first UTTERENCE of the “T” in “stalling Ten”. If a stall occurs the disc is turned over, if the thrower disagrees that a stall occurred they “contest” the call and the count drops back to “stalling nine”

6. NO PICKS!!! NO PICKS NO PICKS

7. Lines are out, if you catch the disc and your foot is on the side line you are out of bounds

8.There have been varying rules in the past about the amount of club players on a team. To keep things simple, please limit the amount of club players on the field to 2 players at a time unless both captains say otherwise. .
